Hi everyone, Heather Leopard is here with a colorful Halloween scrapbooking layout using non-traditional Halloween colors. Who says it has to be orange and black? Take a look at this layout featuring my very own Luna Lovegood:
This layout started with the photos of course but I knew from the beginning that I wanted to feature Luna's Spectre Specs glasses and famous quote so I set off to my Silhouette cameo software to design the glasses and then entire page.
At first I thought I'd use Bella Blvd's Wonky or Florence alphas but then I decided to create a background of 2.4"x12" paper strips. In the photo above, you can see that I distressed the edges of my paper strips and also stitched them to white cardstock. When I put the alphas on there, they just disappeared so I decided I needed larger letters, which I cut from my CAMEO.
And now my sweet Luna with her friend, Hermione. I used white cardstock to frame the photo of my daughter rocking the Luna look and I was going to use a close up of my daughter but thought it fitting to include Hermione since the quote is like she's talking to someone. I added the glasses as the anchor to the photos and included layers of patterned papers and a tag for journaling.
I finished the page with chipboard, enamels, stickers and more... I didn't want to overdo it because the page is super colorful and busy already. The extra embellishments added the perfect finishing touches to the page.
