Hello everyone! This is Maryám Pérez and I’m so happy to be back on the Bella BLVD blog today as the September 2019 Guest Designer. For today’s post, I’m going to be working with the super fun Splash Zone Collection.
One of my favorite things about this collection is how bright and colorful it is! I just love the fact that you can create rainbow pages super easily. Any color lovers here?! :)
For my first project, I created an 8 ½” x 11” inches layout. I started by hand stitching around the circles from the Word Jumble paper with color coordinating embroidery thread and then fussy cut each of them. Next, I put the circles, the photo, the journaling, and I added some embellishments to my page.
For my second the second project, I created a spread on my traveler’s notebook. If you have never tried this format before, I recommend you do it! Since it’s a smaller format, it’s much easier to create something on it, and for those of you who feel a little bit intimidated by the 12x12 layouts, this is just the perfect size.
I love the patterned papers from this collection and I really wanted to find a way to use them all, so what I did was to cut a stripes of different papers and the use paper weaving technique to create a background which I ended up cutting and put one half on one side and one in the other.
