Welcome back Bella Blvd family, Wendy here today to share a layout that I created with 2x2 pieces of paper. I decided to use a quilt as my inspiration, perfect for a family gathering don't you think?
I began by choosing colors that I thought went with my picture and coordinated well with each other and cutting those into 2x2 squares. I then began to layer those squares in random designs. Tip - I used washi tape on the top of the layers to hold the squares together and then I taped my previous layer on top of the new layer.
To anchor my picture and to give some white space between the quilt pattern and my picture, I used the bold family chipboard as my title.
I wanted to match my background of the picture, so I continued the scene with the tree pieces and a house.
On the other side of my picture I used a few more trees and clouds to further build my scene around my picture.
The final touches were some flowers at the bottom of the quilt to anchor the design to the page and to continue the theme and building my picture into a scene.
Thanks so much for joining me today! What scraps are you itching to try now, circles, strips? Have fun!
