I have a confession to make......
I horde my paper scraps. Yep...I do! I have an ever growing box of bits I cannot bear to part with, so this week's scrap-busting theme is a exactly what I needed to prompt me to look for a creative way to use up those itty-bitty pieces of pretty patterned papers.
This is what I came up with :D
Step 01: Grab your paper pieces & a 2,5" circle die or punch & punch a variety of different patterned circles.
Step 02: Cut the circles in half & position them next to each other in slightly curved rows. I chose to keep each row a single pattern.
Step 03: Machine stitch the half circles to the background page, lifting the edges for dimension.
The great thing about this technique, is that 'a little, goes really far'. As you can see above, I used the edges of the rows of scallops to 'hold' my other embellishments. It is a great way to use up the last of your stickers & ephemera words too.
My next question is do you love those dimensional flowers?
I know, cute right?!
They were made using a piece of washi tape that I had pulled off the roll & hadn't used yet. Stuck down onto a strip of white paper, then snipped into small pieces, arranged into a flower shape & stapled together.
Easy as 1,2,3!

As you can see, the effect is really striking. A simple technique that packs a LOT of punch. Hahaha...cheesy pun!!
I hope you are inspired to try this yourself...it is super fun to do & a great way to use up bits of a collection you might have left over. I appreciate you reading my post...remember if you LOVE the 'Splash Zone' collection as much as I do, you can purchase it from the Bella online store.
