Ever since I first watched The Greatest Showman and heard the music, I was inspired by one song. The song A Million Dreams felt a little bit like he was singing words that were describing how I think. From that first moment, I knew I was going to have to make a layout about myself using the song. But I needed the right products and such to make it happen. When I got my box with all the Florence Alphas, I knew that time had arrived! Let's take a look at this layout!
The Florence Alphas are the PERFECT size for creating long titles and doing text heavy layouts like this one! I tend to like layouts with lots of color and lots of text, so I'm kind of smitten ;)!
To get started I picked out which colors I wanted to use. Then I wrote out the lyrics and divided them up by color. I cut my colorful photos into circles to add some movement to the layout.
I used a ruler to keep a line that I was following but allowed the letters to go slightly above and below that. Because the letters are of varying heights, shifting their landing makes sense and adds to the whimsy.
Washi Tape, Heart Hugs, Acrylic Hearts, and Enamel Dots (from the Heart Hugs sheet) all helped add finishing touches. The Washi Tape allowed me to add an extra pop of black at the top and bottom of the layout. Stripes created using Watercolors helped stretch each row of colors. All the hearts created a visual descent down and across the page along with the lyrics. Finally the whole layout is pulled together with the gorgeous "Fairy"patterned paper from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection that I used as a base.
You can check out the entire process for this layout in my process video here:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your day is filled with color!
