Nothing says SPRING more than flowers! Tessa Buys here with a layout featuring handmade, mixed-media blooms and the Make Your Mark collection:
I started by painting a couple of pieces of cardstock. I scraped paint in a few different shades of orange/pink and green, then splattered some black ink and painted some random strokes.
After they dried, I die cut circles from the orange/pink paper, as well as some vellum and patterned papers from the Make Your Mark collection. I also hand-cut leaves from the green paper.
Next, I lightly crumpled the circles to create a little dimension. I layered the circles, alternating patterns and securing the flowers by stapling them in the center with some wound-up thread.
I arranged the flowers across my page, added leaves, and embellished with puffy stickers. A little more ink splattering, a puffy alphabet title, and handwritten journaling finish off the page.
If you're creating a spring-themed page, flowers are always a great idea! Making your own is easy to do, and they'll have a big impact on your layout. Happy creating!

So creative! Beautiful layout! Love the idea of the thread in the center of the flowers.
