Hello there, lovely friends! I'm so glad you've stopped to visit today! Did you know that today is National Relaxation Day?! As it's hump day I could certainly use a little reminder of what it truly means to rest. I couldn't think of a more appropriate project than to do a study on rest in my Bible.
When the new releases arrived at my house, I was completely smitten with this bonus lilac plaid paper from the Plaids and Dotty collection. We rarely see purples in the scrapbooking community, but I was absolutely certain that paper was going on a page for me!
I created these little strips to align near the edge of my Bible page with all the new collections; I then stitched each one on, so I could ruffle up the edges for a dimensional look.
A few Wonky Alphas, a tab, a cute clip, and Word Salad stickers later --there you have it!
I topped off my page with a couple of the new Heart Hugs!
For this particular page, the sentiments didn't suit my needs, so I simply peeled them off and saved them for another project. Now I had some blank Heart Hugs in my color palette; I tucked them right in!
Thanks so much for joining me today! I'm in love with the new releases, and I'm always so giddy to get them in my Bible! Only a few more weeks till they are available for all of you! xo Lydia |
