Hi again! Marcy here and I am back for a second round of sharing projects as a guest digital designer for Bella Blvd this month. I have some fun things to show you so let’s jump in! First up is one more 12” x 12” layout. This page features the Illustrated Faith collection “Bright & Brave”:
I have these photos of my grandpa meeting our daughter for the first time and wanted to make a special page. I noticed that there was a polka dot page in this collection that matched the sleeper my baby was wearing so that became the base of the page. Since I was focusing on the polka dots I thought, let’s make the photos into circles as well, which is easy to do when you are making a digital page! I used some of the bright papers in this collection as a photo mat for each photo to help them pop off the page a bit.
Just like the other page I shared earlier this week, I used a handy tip-in from the collection to use as a banner and headline for the page. And I placed it so it is pointing right down to our daughter, leading the eye right where it should go.
One of the greatest things in digital designing is the ability to tweak the pieces in the collection. For example, I saw this post-it note image and thought it would be perfect. But, it had a message on it already. If you were using this for an actual paper page, there isn’t anything you can do to change that. But not the case in digital designing! I simply matched the yellow color of the note and added a layer of that color on top of the post-it note so now it looked blank and I could put my own message on it. Super easy and cute!
On Monday, I said some back for something really fun and here it is! Do you remember those digital party invitations I made? Well, I took the invite for my nephew and created his very own birthday plate! That’s right, you can take digital products to create your own keepsakes that are printed and produced! Here’s his plate:
I had to expand on this plate from the original invite because this is round and takes up more space. I added a few more animals and removed the party info to make this a personalized plate.
And I didn’t stop there. This was so much fun to create that I decided to make a plate for my daughter as well. She has a birthday coming up too so I used the “Popsicles and Pandas” collection to make a fun, girlie plate just perfect for her. Look at these fun, custom plates using digital products:
When it comes to using digital products, the possibilities are truly endless. I hope you think about getting some of your own to use for a variety of fun projects. Thanks to Bella Blvd for inviting me to be a guest designer and be sure to check out my Instagram page for even more digital (and traditional) inspiration!
