Hi everyone! I'm here to share a quick and effective tip today that will really make your layouts stand out in your scrapbooks.
I took this picture back in July and knew I needed to make it really big for Teddy's baby book. It's one of my favorites from the last few months and just completely captures my kiddo's personality.
For the page, I opened up a 12x12 canvas, the picture, and the background paper. I decided on this paper because it was one of the simplest and wouldn't overwhelm my picture. I placed the picture over the background paper and then changed the blending layer of the picture to multiply and lowered the opacity to 75%.
It's really best to just try many different blending settings until you get the look you are aiming for! Don't be afraid to try something new and get a little creative with it.
Of course, this wasn't quite the look I was aiming for, so I started to erase back the paper that was covering Teddy's body. Much better!
At this point, I added some title work using the super versatile Faith > Fear Digital Collection from Illustrated Faith and Bella Blvd. I love that this kit is made up of all black and white and can see myself using it over and over!
I thought about adding several more elements to my page, but ultimately decided to keep it this way. Simple and perfect!
Here's my final page:

To see all of our Digital Products and to purchase, head over to our retail Digital Shop, located on the Bella Blvd website. To learn how to use the Digital Shop, check out our how-to video here.
Interesting piece, really. I'm not much of a fan about using layouts on photos like that, but maybe just for a cover picture it'd be nice =)
