Hello and welcome to the blog today! The creative team have shared lots of fun ideas using washi tape this week and I can’t wait to share another idea that will suit a whole variety of themes, depending on what washi tape colors and designs you choose! Today I have a Father’s Day layout to show you!
I dug through my Bella Blvd washi tape stash and pulled out several rolls that coordinated and also had a slight masculine feel to them. Then one by one, I started laying them down at an angle, over the top left corner of my background.
Then all I had to do was trim off the overhang and my background was ready to go!
I love how this turned out! I took guidance from the other colors in the washi tape and added teal, black + white and orange layers and embellishments.
For my layout title I combined one of the Acrylic Words with some hand stitching.
Now, a little backstory on my photos . . . when I went looking for a photo to create a layout about my husband and our kids, I couldn’t find a recent one of them all together! So instead, I found a photo of each of our children as newborns, being held by Daddy. I just love the comparison and it still lets me tell the story of what a great Dad he is!
It actually feels kind of satisfying to use lots of washi tape on the one project! I mean, the Bella Blvd rolls have so much tape on them and are such fun designs – it was about time I stopped hoarding them and started using them and I hope you do the same!
Have a great weekend and Father’s Day! My goal is obviously to take a photo of my husband and our kids together!
