We Love this Water Park Layout

Hey there Bella Blvd friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a layout I created with the Secrets of the Sea (girl) collection. I've been dying to dig into this collection. I love the colors and patterns in this collection. When I started playing with this collection, I immediately knew what photo I wanted to use for this layout. This photo, admittedly, isn't the best. It was taken on a bench in an indoor water park in the middle of November. Nevertheless, it's an important memory that I wanted to document. I used a little bits of a lot of patterned paper on this layout and a few patterns from the 6x8 paper pad. I cut several strips of patterned paper and created a huge strip of patterned papers at the top of the layout. If you look closesly at the patterned paper strips you'll notice that I also used a little bit of ribbon and some borders stickers on top of the patterned paper strips. Nestled in the strips of patterned paper is my 4x6 photo that I matted on a few different patterned papers so it would stand out against the patterned paper strips on the background. Below the photo, I added my title, journaling and a little bit of embellishment. I love how the title came together on this layout. I combined puffy alpha stickers, an acrylic word, and some tiny text alpha stickers. They nestled together so well, it looks like they were made to go together. On the bottom of the layout I added a few smaller strips of patterned paper in the lower left side of the layout . I felt like the layout needed a pop of patterned paper at the bottom of the layout to balance out all the pattern and color at the top of the layout. I created three embellishment clusters around the layout to tie everything together. The embellishment clusters are the perfect combination of puffy stickers, paper pieces, stickers, and epoxy stickers. I couldn't be happier with how this layout came together. I can't wait for warmer weather as I know I will have more memories that will need to be documented with this collection. Thank you for stopping by the Bella Blvd blog. I'll see you again soon!

Secrets Of The Sea (Girl) Layout Process Video With Gail

Happy Monday friends! I’m excited to now be sharing a monthly process video with you all kicking off this week with a fun layout using the Secrets Of The Sea (Girl) collection! I would love for you to check out the video below (also on the Bella Blvd YouTube channel).

 

I was inspired by all the beautiful colors in this collection and quickly cut and arranged wide strips from the patterned papers in rainbow order on my background. To add even more interest and dimension, I then went ahead and used my fringe scissors for each strip! I love the look!

I left some white space on the top of my layout for my title. I’m a bit addicted to the Acrylic Words – they seem to suit every single project lately!

I placed my photo towards the top of the layout also. A couple of patterned paper layers behind my photo made it stand out a bit!

I scattered some embellishments throughout the layout. The icons in this collection are just so cute!
