Yay!!!! It's one of my favorite month's of the year!!!! December = Christmas!!!!! YIPEE!!!!!!! Last month the illustrated faith team was really focused on gratitude and preparing our hearts for Christmas, and I have to say, I am a HUGE fan of that combo! Let me share what we have been up to!!
In this post I share my reflections of 30 days of bible journaling my gratitude - and seriously friends, this is one of my favorite projects of the year, so impactful!
Here is a little peek : "Don’t check the calendar, you are right, it’s not December and #gratitudedocumented is officially over but I really wanted to do a re-cap post and share my entries, mostly because I believe projects like these are truly about the project as a whole and not as much about the individual pages, I LOVE the end when you get to look back and see the FULL journey of what God was taking you on!"
Come check out the video, I think some of the tips and pointers will help for those working through journaling their advent!
Mixed Media Tutorial – Devotional Preparations | Heather Greenwood
I am simply in LOVE with Heather's approach to bible journaling this advent season! Her adorable notebook, all prepped with her beautiful mixed media just makes my heart smile!!
Here is a little peek: "Can you believe it’s the end of November already and tomorrow we start going through the 25 day Advent devotional, ‘Tis The Season? This is such a busy time of year for us and I want to focus as much time on Jesus as I can. One of the things I’ve learned in the past is to prepare my devotionals ahead of time so I’m not so focused on crafting and can focus just on being in the presence of God during this season. First I gathered all of my supplies, I’m using not only the devotional kit, but items from the Illustrated Faith CHRISTmas collection by Bella Blvd, as well as some additional supplies."
Here is a peek: "If you’ve been following along with the Gratitude Documented project this month, you know that today’s theme is gratitude. We’ve been expressing gratitude for a different part of our lives each day & today I’m supposed to show gratitude for gratitude itself!? It seemed weird to me. A bit redundant. But it made me think & dig deep past my normal level of praise, and that’s a good thing. After thinking on it for awhile, I decided to interpret it as a big blanket category of showing gratitude in all seasons."
Here is a peek: "The story of Rachel and Leah has always intrigued me. Having younger sister myself, the sister dynamic in stories always catches my eye and takes hold of me. While my sister and I may have fought over sharing a bathroom, I cannot imagine having the kind of conflict that these two Biblical beauties must have faced.
First, Rachel meets the love of her life, Jacob, and he works 7 years in order to marry her. But instead of getting to marry him, her father has her sister, Leah, marry him in deceit. Can you imagine that conversation between father and daughter when he told Rachel that, one, she would not be getting married, two, that her sister would go in her place, and three, that Jacob would have to work another 7 years to make her his wife. Come ON."
Thank you for stopping by!!! From the Illustrated Faith team I just wanted to wish you a VERY Merry Christmas!!!!!
