Hello Bella Blvd friends and fans, Becki here. I'm excited to share a Christmas layout featuring in the CHRISTmas collection with a process video. This layout features two 3x4 photos with two sets of die cut Christmas trees backed with patterned papers. (In the video I share a couple of tips for backing die cuts with fun Bella Blvd products...stay tuned).
When I created my cut flies in the Silhouette software, I created a basic sketch with the cut files. I drew 3x4 rectangles to represent the photos, placed my title cut file under the photo, and the Christmas tree cut files on either side of the photos. Again, this is very basic sketch but it helped me to plan my project and move through it more quickly.
I used a variety of patterned papers and clear cuts inside each of the Christmas trees. I added Christmas trees on both sides of my photos to add pops of color across the layout. I LOVE how the clear cuts look in the Christmas trees.
One of my favorite title techniques is to combine fonts. I used a script font (from a cut file) for the word "Christmas" and Tiny Text stickers for the rest of the title.
I added some adorable gift tags and tabbies at the top of my photo to balance a few of the colors and anchor the title. This layout came together so quickly and so easily! You can see the entire process here:
I'm so glad you stopped by the Bella Blvd blog, I'll see you again soon! Merry Christmas! Have a safe, fun, happy holiday!
