December Documenting | Every Friday in December with Leanne!

Hello Friends! It's Leanne here today and I am excited to share with you my December Documenting process post each Friday throughout the month of December! Can you believe we are already in December?! For me, it feels like the year has truly flown by so quickly. Which makes this project even more special. Documenting each day in December will be a treasured keepsake for many years to come.  My plan is to keep it simple by using a premade 4x4 mini album and the two new 2016 Christmas collections from Bella Blvd - Holly Jolly Christmas and CHRISTmas.

 

As we are still in the early stages of the month, today I am only going to share my cover, the embellishments used and the introduction page for my album.  Next week I will start sharing the inside pages as I add photos and stories about my family's 2016 December. ps - I must forewarn you, it will be a December documented in Summer! Typical Christmas Card scenes may not apply!  *grin*

 

"2016 December Documenting" mini album by Leanne Allinson.

 

I started by gathering my supplies - washi stickers, fundamental stickers, paper pieces and enamel hearts.

 

 

step 1.  Tear a strip of washi and align it with the bottom edge of your album. Layer a border strip from the CHRISTmas fundamental stickers on top.

 

 

step 2. Add three (3) Christmas Tree paper pieces from the Holly Jolly Christmas collection.

 

step 3. Adhere and position a series of white enamel hearts between the tree tops of the paper pieces.

 

step 4. Using white Tiny Text numbers, add the year for your album. Layer another CHRISTmas fundamental sticker across the trees for interest.

 

step 5. To complete the front embellishment of the album cover, add extra stickers from the fundamental sheet. hint: Look for the hidden sticker selections in the negative space of the alphas!

 

step 6. On the spine of the album, add number stickers from the Illustrated Faith Homespun cardstock stickers.

 

step 7. Adhere an additional paper piece tree from the CHRISTmas collection.

 

The pages on the inside of my album will hold a few special surprises too. I will be incorporating mostly 4x4 images, capturing at least one story per day.  I am hopeful that these memories will be highlighted with current everyday captions such as my title page...HEY!

I've never decorated the front of my albums before... this is a lovely idea, thank you!
I'll be following along. I've made one 4x4 album so far and have just started on my second one, so I'm looking forward to seeing some more inspiring ideas. I'm in Australia too, so I totally relate to summer Decembers ;)
