Hello friends! Today I want to share a layout that reinforces how much I love scrapbooking and how it reminds me to savour everyday moments. Our theme for this week is "changing of seasons" and while I was looking through my photos, this one of my daughter stood out to me. It's a big reminder that I'm entering a new "season" in my life as my babies grow up and are no longer babies. So I took a moment to document this on the layout below.
I also want to share how I created my title using the Washi Stickers from the Addison collection! I cut my simple title ("changes") from white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I lightly traced the outline of each letter on another piece of white cardstock to go behind. I was then able to cut smaller pieces from the washi strips to cover those outlines so when placed behind, you get a fun title!
I just love how it turned out and the dimension it adds! Some of the strips of washi are overlapped, some aren't - just as long at the letter shape is covered it will look great!
I also used a couple of the washi heart shapes as embellishments above my title, along with some mist splatters and subtle stamped flowers.
I placed the photo in the top left corner and added my usual layers of patterned paper and a couple of Tabbies tucked in behind it. The colors in the washi title are balanced by the colors of the patterned paper behind the photo.
I'm sure you'll agree that the Washi Stickers are a fantastic product! I love that you get smaller lengths of a whole variety of patterns and colors to match each collection! It makes it perfect for techniques such as this one on my layout. I do hope you try it!
