Hello Bella Friends! It is Leanne here today, sharing with you a fun and easy Halloween inspired project! Which is kind of odd, considering this holiday isn't usually on our agenda to celebrate, even though the idea is becoming more and more popular here in Australia! However, I couldn't pass an opportunity to play with the cutest Halloween paper collection, especially when my youngest had his first experience with a "haunted house"!
"October Hauntings" by Leanne Allinson
This paper collection is a flashback to Bella Blvd's classic Trick or Treat. I found that the colours were an ideal match for my photos and couldn't pass on the opportunity to use some of my stash! But even more of a flashback are the use of some of the chipboard alphas on my page.
Here I have mixed and matched two different sets of chipboard to create the word "October". A reason these older chipboard pieces are so versatile on current layouts, is due to the colour matching properties throughout all collections! I have also teamed up the chipboard alphas with the funky new tiny text alphabet stickers. By combining the different fonts, my title not only helps express the story but creates interest at the top of my page.
My 4"x4" photo collage has been layered on lots of gorgeous patterned papers and I've included more chipboard, enamel hearts and stickers phrases to create focal points in an otherwise busy cluster.
Some of my photos were converted to black and white, to help convey that "spooky" feel. To compliment my photo collage, I have trimmed one of the haunted house images from Trick or Treat Spooky Town, which looks very similar to the house I've included in the photographs.
As you can see from the images, my youngest wasn't terribly impressed with this haunted house! We were at a theme park however, and his interests were more firmly invested in what ride he could go on next! Of course this was right after he rang the door bell and then ran away! We may be new to the whole idea of Halloween adventures, but I think this boy is learning fast!! Happy Trick or Treating friends!! Thanks for visiting.
