Hi friends, Laurie here sharing a couple of my latest Bella creations! I have been barely keeping the desire to quarantine myself into my stamp room and never come out at bay. You see, I just received the brand new Bella Blvd collections! Giddy would be an understated way of describing me the last two days! Ha!
I have to point out how ridiculously happy I am to have all of the gorgeous new Bella Blvd papers in the new 6 x 8 paper pads! They are perfect for all of the smaller projects like cards and small gifts. This is a cardmaker's (like me) dream come true!
I have to confess that while I love Halloween, I'm not a fan of the truly creepy and scary images. I think that is why I have always loved Bella Blvd's Halloween collections, they are full of super cute images and Bella's signature bright colors.
For my card, I started with the new Spooktacular 6x8 Paper Pad. I created a spooky scene using both the printed sides of the paper and the reverse solid side. To create a little more texture, I splattered some dark gray ink onto the main background layer. I then popped up several Paper Pieces with dimensional foam and embellished with a piece of the new Washi Stickers and Enamel DooDads in Oreo Black.

I am a mom to five children, four of them are boys that all happen to have birthdays in the next 2 1/2 months. So you can imagine my delight when I saw the new Alex collection! I think my favorite thing about it is that it will work for such a wide age range! From elementary to High School, the patterns and images included in this collection are perfect! This card is the one that I created for my soon to be 13 year old son. He loves music and I thought this headphones image (from the Alex Daily Details paper) would be perfect for him!
I chose one off the new 6x8 Paper Pad papers for the background. I layered on a piece of one of the Alex Washi Stickers. After popping up the focal image, I added the sentiment (from the Alex Paper Pieces) and some Enamel DooDads. That cute arrow clip at the top is from the new Alex Designer Clips. I love that they are sturdy plastic clips, and not just paper!
I wanted to carry the card design over to the inside as well. Here I used a stamp to emboss the Happy Birthday sentiment on a small piece of paper (also from the Alex 6x8 Paper Pad). I embellished with another Washi Sticker and a musical note from the Paper Pieces.
