Ah Pinterest. An online hangout where I can easily get lost for hours. It’s my number one source of online inspiration and ideas and I just never know exactly what will inspire me!
I love a good rainbow design so when I was browsing Pinterest recently, the quote and image above was the one that caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to incorporate it into a scrapbooking layout!
“Rainbow”, by Gail Lindner.
You know what I love most about Bella Blvd? The fantastic range of COLORS in their patterned paper! So I quite literally used the quote above on my page and had fun creating a rainbow for the word rainbow from patterned paper!
I cut the word ‘rainbow’ from white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo and then place the patterned papers behind each letter – of course in perfect rainbow order! The rest of the quote was easily added using simple black stickers – I wanted the rainbow to be the star of the layout!
After painting a quick light blue section on my cardstock, I added my photos below the quote with a couple of layers of black and white patterned paper behind them also. For embellishing my layout, I stuck to the rainbow colors and pulled out a few stickers and chipboard pieces to scatter around.
I tucked a tag with my journaling behind my photos. My sweet almost-5-year-old son is such a happy little guy with an infectious giggle – always brightening up my day! So this layout is perfect for him as I never want him to stop looking for rainbows!
So whether it’s quotes, a color scheme or design idea, Pinterest always delivers inspiration!
