Today is all about the two page layouts! While there are plenty of you out there that shy away from two page layouts and like to focus on single pagers, we like to believe that there are also plenty of you out there that embrace the two page layouts and could use a little inspiration featuring Bella collections and products. So that's just what we're aiming to bring you with this new feature!
“Your Sweet Laughter Makes Spring Bloom”, by Stephanie Buice.
When I was given the assignment of doing a double pager, I must admit that I was a little intimidated. I may have broke into a little sweat when I thought about just how long ago it had been since I’ve given one a try. Once I collected my thoughts a bit and got started I actually found that it was a fun change, more space! I started by adding a bit of paint to my left page where I wanted my picture to go, and once it was dry then I added in a few stamps onto. Spring is right around the corner and knocking on my door, so I decided I was ready to leave winter behind and paint some pretty flowers for my layout.
I wanted both of these pages to have a cluster of them so I made sure to make a bunch at the same time. I chose a few green papers from my Bella stash and used them to cut leaves, I layered a few here and there for some added dimension. I used my cameo to cut most of my title from some painted cardstock and some patterned paper, I also used some of my favorite Illustrated Faith alphabet stamps for parts of it.
After I got everything mapped out where I wanted it to go I sewed down my journaling and started gluing things down. When my flowers and leaves were all in place I sprinkled in a few enamels to keep your eye moving up and down the sides of the pages. I was actually surprised at how quickly it all came together! So, when was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and tried something a little different? I think I’ll actually be trying another one of these again very soon.

"First Day Of School", by Laura Vegas.
While trying to decide what I wanted to do for my two pager this month, I came across this circle/star cut file in my Silhouette library and it reminded me of a first day of school layout that I had put aside to re-create. My original layout was one I created for a magazine assignment years ago and with the product I had to use, it was just way too bulky for my taste and took up too much space in my album.
When it came to picking out my patterned papers for this layout, I pulled my colors straight from the girls shirts and backpacks. I started with the Star Student collection, seeing as this was a school themed layout, and picked the black text, aqua stars, and navy blue dotted patterned papers. I pulled in the green dotted patterned paper from the IF Whatever Is Lovely collection, and the pink woodgrain patterned paper from the Simply Spring collection.
I cut the circle/star die cut from black cardstock, and sized it fairly large to fill up the left side of the first page of the spread. Once I had the majority of the page put together, and knew exactly where all of my patterned papers would be, I then went back and cut out a few of the circles from my patterned papers to add to the open circles of the die cut.
While I knew that I wanted the main background of my page to be simple, to let my photos and title stand out, I also knew I didn't want plain white cardstock for my background. The Typewriter Clear Cut transparency was a great choice for my background, as it still allowed plenty of white to show thru, but added a little more to the page at the same time.
