Welcome to Flashback Friday! Sometimes we get so caught up in using our newest Bella collections that we forget about all of the older collections that we still love and can find so many uses for. We know that so many of you have these same collections in your stash as well, and thought it would be fun to "flash back" and be inspired by them once again!
"2 For 2", by Lisa Dickinson.
When I wanted to scrap this photo of my daughter’s basketball game, I knew orange supplies would come into play, as their uniforms are predominately that color. So I went straight to the Hello Autumn Line! I love the rich darker tones in this older line and the orange woodgrain provided a perfect backdrop for the top half of my page. On the bottom, I layered a Clear Cut from the Star Student collection over white card stock. It adds some pattern and helps balance out the black in the photo.
Since the title and photo were already creating a diagonal line on the page, I emphasized that diagonal by adding in stars (die cuts, chipboard, punched shapes and enamel dots). I love the way the colors and stars work together to add energy and motion to the design!
Supplies:
Hello Autumn: Borders, Falling Into Fall, Paper Pieces; Color Chaos: Gulf Strandz, Treasures & Text; Classic Calendars: Treasures & Text; Clear Cuts: Star Student Typewriter; Ciao Chip Elements: Symbols, Hearts & Stars; Enamel DooDads: Oreo Black, Ice, Milk White
Gorgeous! LOVING the colors and the title work!!!!!!!!!!!!
