Tuesday's are all about illustrating your faith here on the blog, where we bring you projects that show how to work your faith and your beliefs into the creative outlets that we all know and love. Our Illustrated Faith focused designers combine the Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith brands and products in a variety of projects that we hope will inspire you in one way or another.
“Believe”, by Wendy Antenucci.
I wanted to focus on how we are growing and how we are growing our children; by planting the seed, taking root in God, and keeping our hearts pure so that we can believe in whatever the Lord has in store for us.
I assembled my "photo block" of some pretty papers that I really liked with a 3x4 card with a saying that spoke to me. After playing with all the pretties, I finally chose a picture that told a story which is near and dear to my heart right now and in our lives for 2016.
When I added my "photo block" to my white cardstock, it didn't stand out like I wanted the message too so I added some black splatters to add interest and color to the page. But, my layout was still lacking. When my eyes landed on the washi tape, I knew that was the finishing piece to this page. The color really is so eye catching which made my "photo block" to really take the center stage and tell the story of our family.

“Meet Me”, by Kelly Holbrook.
I usually wake up with my husband in the morning to make his lunch and send him off to work. Then, I have the house all to myself for about an hour before the kids wake up. This time is perfect for devotions and prayer. Francesca Battistelli's song "When the Crazy Kicks In" sums up my thoughts on this perfectly, so I used some of the lyrics for my title and journaling.

“Proverbs 22:6”, by Carol Chastain.
This layout resulted when I found these photos of my son brushing his teeth, and got me thinking about parenting and child training in general. It is one of those layouts that motivates me in motherhood and hopefully one day I can look back on it with more wisdom in the years to come.
My journaling is as follows: “Training up children is something that can easily become over complicated. There are podcasts, articles, blog posts, YouTube videos, and many other sources of advice made available to consumers, AKA Me: A mom barely still in her 20’s, with 3 children 5 and under. Teaching you manners, the potty training, and of course daily routines like teeth brushing, are what fill my days with memories and many opportunities to grow as a mother. It’s often when I become so very overwhelmed with thoughts of “am I doing this right?” and “are they supposed to be acting this way?”, that I seek the multitude of resources and forget that God’s Word is the only parenting manual I will ever need, it is also the only parenting manual that combines truth with encouragement straight from the heart of God. Proverbs 22:6 I love looking at these photos of Brandon that show him practicing the healthy habit of teeth brushing, and pray that one day he will practice holy habits as well. May God’s word be my guidance and that I would “steep my life in prayer” as the “Meeting God” prayer in Valley of Vision poetically puts it.”
