Tuesday's are all about illustrating your faith here on the blog, where we bring you projects that show how to work your faith and your beliefs into the creative outlets that we all know and love. Our Illustrated Faith focused designers combine the Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith brands and products in a variety of projects, that we hope will inspire you in one way or another.
"Family Photos" mini album, by Laurie Schmidlin.
One project that I have been wanting to create for a while, is this mini album. My husband's family lives in Switzerland and does not get to see our family very often. A lot of the Illustrated Faith stickers are designed to express and capture our faith and walk with God, but I thought they would also work for describing my children's best character traits!
I created a pocket style mini album, choosing photos that I thought really captured my kids' personalities.
Using papers from the Whatever is Lovely collection, as well as some from Bella's Color Chaos and Fresh Market collections, I've created a keepsake that I plan on gifting my in-laws for Christmas!
I used my Silhouette to cut out the album parts (pages, cover, and spine) and then used a very heavy adhesive to assemble it. I made five pockets, one for each of my children.
The inserts with photos on them, tuck in to the pocket. I've added a tab (from the Illustrated Faith Fold It and Remember It sticker sheets) on each photo insert page.
I really love how the Illustrated Faith stickers both decorate the album as well as document our family's faith!
If you plan on creating something similar, here are a couple of hints that I have found helpful.
Even though the Washi Tape and stickers all have adhesive on them, I added extra so that they would not fall off with wear and tear.
I kept the embellishments on the inside of the album to a minimum, with the exception of a large chipboard heart in the middle (placed there for added thickness and stability).

Illustrated Faith Pocket Pages, by Shellye McDaniel.
My daughter and I spend a lot of Sundays after church taking pictures. After-all, she’s dressed up and ready to go! I’ve been using these particular photos in her larger 12x12 album and have found that the 3x4s and Arts Prints work perfectly for the various sized pockets.
To accommodate the pockets, some of the cards were cut smaller or larger than its actual size. I was just careful to trim enough so that the words were still legible.
After placing the cards and photos into the pockets, the outside page protectors were embellished with stickers and enamel dots and doodads.
I also used the lined print of the “Admirable” Paper for journaling … I love the haphazard and free look that it gives to the page.
Not having a 4x6 vertical photo available, I used a piece of patterned paper and Treasures & Text sticker letters to spell out the “everlasting” title.
Supplies:
Whatever is Lovely: Treasures & Text, Admirable, Art Prints, 3x4’s, Little Bits Label It; Illustrated Faith: Books of Bible Little Bits, Typed Oh My Heavens, Say It Colorful; Enamel DooDads: Punch, McIntosh, Bell Pepper; Enamel Dots: Bell Pepper, Cotton Candy, McIntosh
Love love love both of these projects!! So gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
