It's always been fun to browse thru Pinterest, looking at the endless ideas and inspirational images that are out there. Our designers always enjoy taking whatever image we provide them, and using it in whatever way inspires them the most as they work on their projects. It's amazing to see how many different ideas and designs can be inspired by just one image.

"2 Cute 2 Spook", by Heather Leopard.
I was inspired by the spiders and spiderwebs in the "Boo" words. I remembered an adorable spider from several years ago who needed to be documented. I cut several spiderwebs and a spider using my electronic cutting machine. To help make the cobwebs pop a bit more off the page, I added some purple watercoloring behind them and then machine stitched them to the page, also stitching a dangling little spider from one of the webs. All in all, once I had my design in my mind, the layout came together quickly, adding a few pattern paper and clear cuts for layering, the title and embellishments. I added orange and black embellishments, which also tie back to the original Pinterest image. Now to add the journaling ;)

"Bananas", by Lisa Dickinson.
I loved the fringe surrounding the banners on the Pinterest inspiration piece, so I created a similar effect for a page border. After cutting three different papers into 1-inch strips, I used scissors to partially cut through the strips at 1/8” intervals. After layering the strips over one another and adhering to my page, I gently bent up the fringe for a dimensional and whimsical border!
