I think everyone enjoys getting to peek into other designer’s scraprooms, right? It's fun to see how others store and organize the same types of products and tools that so many of us have. And while many of us have totally different ways of setting up our spaces, or have totally different types of spaces that we're working with, you never know when you'll see a new way of storing or organizing products that you can incorporate into your own space.
Scraproom Tour, by Corri Garza.
My scrap room is a made up of a mix of old furniture and some new pieces that I just recently added. My room is located in a loft space above our living room. I love that I can leave things in a mess and no one can see from downstairs.
This shelf is the BHG version the Ikea Kallax. It fits perfectly on this wall and helps me keep my stuff organized. I keep everything in bins or baskets.
I have one that holds all my Bella Blvd goodies and then others for pens, tools, twine, mists, etc.
One of my favorite organization tricks is this awesome color box. My friend Heather told me about these. I sorted my embellishments by color in these 4 x 6 photo boxes. This is a great way to keep up with all those tiny bits.
I have a work surface to the left of my desk where I have my Cameo, my laptop and an old cassette holder where I store all my inks. I’m a little crazy when it comes to the white core in paper. I have to ink the edges of everything I die cut. Makeup sponges from the dollar store work great for this.
I have four filing cabinet drawers below this desk top. In one drawer I keep all my stamps and embossing folders. Another drawer holds all my ribbon. The other two are junk drawers.
Under my desk, I store all my current paper collections in these Cropper Hopper rolling carts. One cart holds all my Bella Blvd paper. I have a file folder for each collection. The other cart holds all my other paper collections. Extra-large zip lock bags are a great way to keep all the pieces of the collection contained.
I just got this new Raskog cart from Ikea. I love it. I keep it right next my desk. The top tray holds all the things I use on every project … like stickers, burlap string, enamel dots and pop dots. The second tray holds my punches and the bottom is for journaling cards.
This little area is wear I take my photos. The slat wall is the side of a huge cabinet. I store my photo props, my alphas and photo sleeves on pegs. Under the desk, I keep all the kids artwork, awards and school pictures that I plan to get into albums someday. In the front of big cabinet, I have my albums and older paper collections that I can’t part with yet.
I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my scrap room. It’s always fun to see how other people organize.
I love love love your space!!!! Fabulous!!!!!
