Welcome to Flashback Friday! Sometimes we get so caught up in using our newest Bella collections that we forget about all of the older collections that we still love and can find so many uses for. We know that so many of you have these same collections in your stash as well, and thought it would be fun to "flash back" and be inspired by them once again!
“Practice Makes Perfect”, by Stephanie Buice.
Right now my son is learning to write out the alphabet and his name, I got these pictures of him the other day that I thought were perfect and needed to be in the books. When I saw that I had a throwback assignment I was actually kind of excited to use some of my Bella papers I’ve been hanging on to for a while but never had the right pictures for until now. Going through my stash I have to say that what I love about Bella is that they are pretty classic, I wasn’t even disappointed with some of the goodies that were over two years old, I still loved them! I decided to cut out some of the chevron designs from the Daily Chevies papers to used parts of them as little checkmarks on the bottom half of my page, kind of like a “good job” symbol.
Supplies:
Daily Chevies: Chevy Gulf, Chevy Carrot; Love & Marriage: Borders; Tiny Tots: Flash Cards, Trinkets; Max: Treasures & Text; Play Date: Daily Details; Sunny Happy Skies: Alpha+Bits; Swing Into Spring: Carla White Alphas; Star Student: Treasures & Text; Family Forever: Treasures & Text; Little Bits: Gulf, Ice, Bell Pepper; Enamel Dots: Ice, Blueberry, Bell Pepper, Guacamole; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black & White
“Autumn Love”, by Julia Akinina.
I'm in love with this collection of paper, I love the autumn colors and cute patterns on it. So it was easy and quick to create this layout. It's about us, you can see me and my boyfriend on the photo. I think this photo is very cozy (though it was taken at the beginning of summer). I used only two different sheets of patterned paper and Paper Pieces Die cuts. I added some golden accents by using golden glittered decorative tape and vellum paper with golden stripes. I think gold matches perfectly with the autumn theme.
Supplies:
Hello Autumn: Time to Rake, Perfect Pick, Borders, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: White; Enamel Dots: Guacamole; Enamel DooDads: Guacamole
“Owl You Do” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
With autumn fast approaching, I couldn't resist digging into the Hello Autumn collection! The colors are so deliciously fall looking! For this card, I paired some of my favorite papers from this collection together. For the focal images, I cut apart the Daily Details sheet and then added a tree chipboard piece! A little stitching and an enamel heart DooDad was all it needed for embellishment!
Supplies:
Hello Autumn: Gatherings, Borders, Daily Details, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces; Ciao Chip Elements: Trees; Enamel DooDads: Guacamole
“Smile Big” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
Color blocking is one of my favorite techniques and it is so fun to do with many of the Bella collections! For this card, I chose three of the papers from the Scattered Sprinkles collection. I adhered them to my card and then added some faux stitching x's. I embellished the card with a sticker from the Just Write Journaling page and some Crochet Hearts.
Supplies:
Scattered Sprinkles: Pickle Juice Sprinkles, Bell Pepper Sprinkles, Oreo Sprinkles, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling; Crochet Hearts: White, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice
