We are so excited to introduce you to our talented August Guest Designer, Nicole Nowosad. Nicole was a member of our 2013-2015 Design Team, and we're excited to have her back with us today. Let's get to know a little more about Nicole and check out the projects she created to share with us!

Hello! My name is Nicole Nowosad and thanks for having me as a guest designer today! I am a full time working mom to three (four if you count the hubby). I have been a scrapbooker for over 15 years now and have been fortunate enough to be on a few design teams over the last several years, including Bella Blvd! I was very excited when Laura asked if I would be willing to be a guest for Bella as I have missed creating with their products! I love bold colors and pattern and had fun creating these projects for the blog today with the newer collections.

I love the full patterns in the Family Frenzy, Just Add Color and Fresh Market collections and wanted to combine them for this page. I started with the hand cut title, mixing the patterns and then went on to diecut some circles for my background with similar papers. I even trimmed my photo into a circle which I never do! Lol.

“Smile When No One Is Looking”, by Nicole Nowosad.

There are so many fun colors in the Fresh Market collection, I was inspired to die cut several words in a rainbow of colors and then mix them with some words from the Just Add Color paper sheet. I added in some fussy cut flowers from Just Add Color and watercolor painted the centers for some contrast. I love that you can virtually use the Just Add Color collection with virtually anything and make it your own but playing with color!! Very smart.

“This Is Summer”, by Nicole Nowosad.

I was inspired by the 2” square paper sheet in the Fresh Market collection for this page. I quite simply quilted together a series of 2” squares for the bottom of the page, add similarly colored embellishments to the squares. I love the collection of summery patterns and motifs and those Enamel Dots/Doo Dads are perfect touches! I used the Clear Cut Clouds to layer over boring white cardstock to jazz it up a bit behind my photo!

“Happy Birthday” card, by Nicole Nowosad.

I had a lot of fun making this card! I love making cards with my leftover scraps and that is exactly what I did here. Also, I have a never ending need for birthday cards in my household ;) I simply cut strips off paper into candles and added some hand cut flames and layered it all over a Clear Cut chevron background! I stamped part of my sentiment with some stamps in my stash, over a scrap piece of vellum I had in my scrap bucket. Easy peasey.

“Happy Birthday 2 You” card, by Nicole Nowosad.

Fact is, I need a lot of masculine birthday cards, so I went for another colorful 10 year old boy-approved birthday card for my supply! I started with the Clear Cuts – Stars Ice and went from there, diving again into my scraps. I used lots of stars because, well, they are perfect for boys!

After all this boy business, I wanted to make a girly card. I started this time with a Confetti Clear Cut and then some simple fussy cut flowers and a pennant shaped paper piece. I love how the enamel dots just fill those flower centers perfectly!
