This week, we asked our designers to focus on the new Riley and Rover collections when creating their projects. These new collections will be hitting your favorite local scrapbook stores and online retailers any day now, and we want you to have plenty of ideas in mind when you're able to get a hold of them. I love the projects our Creative Team members came up with, and I hope you do too!
“Hello My Name is Murphy”, by Jennifer Chapin.
We recently got a new puppy and it has been so fun taking pictures of him! The release of Riley and Rover couldn't have been any more perfect. For this layout, I printed a large photo in a circle then trimmed the edges. I adhered it to my layout, then used the Amorie chipboard letters to make my title around the photo. I actually used pieces from both Riley and Rover for this layout - even though Riley is a cat themed line, a lot of the embellishments can be used for both!
Supplies:
Riley: Tabby Cat, Trinkets; Rover: Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: Guacamole, McIntosh, Blueberry; Enamel Dots: Bell Pepper, Milk White; Ciao Chip Elements: Hearts & Stars
“Suzy”, by Becki Adams.
Telling the story of our family dog isn't something I remember to do very often. The Rover collection gave me that reminder and made it so easy! My kids are thrilled that our dog Suzy now has her very own place in our family's scrapbooks.
Supplies:
Rover: Dog Show, Loyal, Puppy Prints, Borders, Daily Details, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: McIntosh; Enamel Dots: McIntosh, Bell Pepper, Guacamole, Ice, Blueberry, Oreo Black, Milk White; Enamel DooDads: McIntosh, Bell Pepper, Guacamole, Ice, Blueberry
“Happy Is the Home” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
I am in love with Bella's bright and fun papers! Sometimes, though, the busy patterns distract from the focal point, especially when making cards as the size is smaller than a layout. To make the focal images pop and still use the paper that I love, I just add a piece of vellum over the background. You can still see the background paper and the focal images really pop! For this card, the focal image is comprised of a couple of circles die cut from the Riley patterned paper collection, stickers, and some Enamel Dots.
Supplies:
Riley: Daily Details, Borders, Treasures & Text; Enamel Dots: Oreo Black
"Love You Forever” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
We are a huge dog loving family! It's a rare day that I don't see our dogs right by our boys' sides! They are kind of a package deal! I needed a card for one of my boys so I naturally turned to Bella's new Rover Collection! I combined one of the Daily Details with a couple different patterned papers. I embellished it with some coordinating Rover stickers.
Supplies:
Rover: Daily Details, Puppy Prints, Loyal, Trinkets
