This week, we asked our designers to focus on the new Riley and Rover collections when creating their projects. These new collections will be hitting your favorite local scrapbook stores and online retailers any day now, and we want you to have plenty of ideas in mind when you're able to get a hold of them. I love the projects our Creative Team members came up with, and I hope you do too!
“Archie Loves Willie”, by Kristine Davidson.
These two little furry felines just love each other. Archie (the one on the right) always follows Willie around and lays next to her all the time. When Willie is sleeping and all cozy you can be sure Archie will be around the corner trying to find her to get some attention! I love the pop of red that I included in this layout. I feel it brings lots of interest to the title and the picture still stands out.
Supplies:
Riley: Fish Bone, Tabby Cat, Borders, Daily Details, Treasures & Text; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: McIntosh; Enamel Dots: Oreo Black; Little Bits: McIntosh
“Twelve & Five”, by Christin Grønnslett.
My kids love my in-laws two dogs, and this is the Grand Old Lady - over 12 years old. She is usually the sweetest and calmest of dogs - unless you have a stick or a ball in your hand or take out the harness - then it’s all about playing and she can outrun most dogs. My son loves to be pulled by her while on skis up the hills - in English it’s called Skijoring. I took this picture on our National Day (Norways National Day is May 17th), it was kind of cold and my daughter is actually wearing a winter coat in a lovely red color in tribute to one of the colors in our National flag (the other two colors you can see in the ribbon in her hair - blue and white) - the same three colors as in the American flag. I wanted to pick up on those colors as well as some of the colors in the Rover and Riley collections. To make the background I used different types of liquid watercolors and just dropped it on the page with a brush, but for you to make this yourself you can use mists, diluted acrylic paint, distress ink refill, basically any form of color in very liquid form.

“It's Not a Home” card, by Corri Garza.
We are huge animal lovers so I truly believe this sentiment. I created a cute little scene beginning with a dog house cut with my Cameo. The dog house is perched on a hill made by cutting an oval shape in half. This card would be perfect for someone who just got a new puppy.
Supplies:
Rover: Borders, Dog Show, Loyal, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Riley: Friendly Felines, Borders, Treasures & Text; Simply Spring: Chipboard Icons; Enamel Dots: Milk White
“Just Fur You” card, by Corri Garza.
I just love the cute kitties in the Riley Collection. I used the photo corners from the Treasures & Text to create a frame around one of the 2 x 2 squares. I trimmed some pattern paper into banner shapes and used foam dots to adhere the framed panel to my card for added dimension.
Supplies:
Riley: Fish Bone, Borders, Friendly Felines, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Enamel Dots: McIntosh
These are all fabulous! LOVING those cards from Corri!!!!
