One medium that we see our designers using again and again on our Invisibles and Clear Cuts specialty papers, as well as our new Just Add Color collection, is acrylic paints. Jillibean Soup has an awesome collection of Happy Hues paints, and they were generous enough to send a set of paints to our designers, as we knew they would pair up perfectly with our Bella products. All this week, we'll be sharing projects from our creative team, showing creative ways to incorporate paints onto your layouts and cards.
“Seaside Smile”, by Lisa Dickinson.
The bright colors of the Jillibean Soup Happy Hues are a perfect complement to the Bella Blvd products and I couldn’t wait to play with both! On this page, I accented an enlarged full-page photo with colorful circles. To create them, I first painted card stock with the Happy Hues and a dry brush. Once the paint had dried, I layered a matching circle cut from the Color Chaos Clear Cuts. Then I embellished each circle with plenty of color-coordinating stickers, chipboard, fussy-cut flowers from Invisible acrylic sheets, and enamel dots. I love how just a bit of paint as a base gives the whole page a handmade and artistic finish.

“Bath Time Cutie”, by Kat Benjamin.
I can’t believe how well the Jillibean Soup Happy Hues paints coordinate with the Bella Blvd color palette! I decided to use the paints to color in the patterns from the Just Add Color collection. Then I backed the Just Add Color papers with papers from different collections and then finally Clear Cuts, creating 4 different quadrants of colors. I added in a lot of little bits stickers in coordinating colors and then finished off the layout by painting around the edges.

Just Add Color: Dotty, Newsflash, Star Struck, Daily Details; Color Chaos: Bell Pepper Strandz, Guacamole Strandz; Lucky Starz: Carrot Starz; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Peep; Clear Cuts: Punch Confetti, Orange Confetti, Bell Pepper Confetti, Guacamole Confetti; Amorie Chipboard Alphas: White; High Five Alpha Stickers: Lucky Starz; Little Bits: Guacamole, Bell Pepper, Orange, Punch, Oreo Black, White
