Hey everyone! It's Laura here, on behalf of Stephanie. Our fearless leader is incredibly busy these days, working on more BIG projects that I can even keep up with. You'll be hearing more about so many of these new projects very soon! With that being said, I still consider this a "Friday With Stephanie", since I've been holding onto some layouts that she created a while back, just waiting for an opportunity to share them with you all. And I figured today was a good day to share a few of those.
“The Finish Line”, by Stephanie Smokovich.
Finish line photographs from a marathon are definitely not the most flattering, which is why I love that my hubby cut my head off in some of them, even though I'm sure it was a happy accident :) I wanted to document the training that got me to my first marathon. The daily and weekly schedule that required me to get in my miles, so the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, days of the week cards (3x4"s) were perfect. On a totally separate 12x12" page I used the entire area to journal my first marathon story/experience. That page will be right next to this one in my finished album.
Supplies:
Summer Squeeze: Summer Breeze; Lucky Starz: Carrot Starz, Peep Starz, Surf N Turf Stars; Molly: Borders, Treasures & Text; Flags: Winter, Sports
“All Star”, by Stephanie Smokovich.
My nephew has been on the sideline for years, cheering on his sisters at countless sporting events. Finally, at 6 years old it was his turn to put on football pads and learnt he game! It might have been the cutest thing I've ever seen, I took so many photos it was hard to narrow it down. Pe-We football in Wisconsin! I mixed and matched stars, dots and even sharks to bring boy-themed color palette for the layout. I also popped-up and used as many stars as I could to play off the "All Star" page title.
Supplies:
Max: Text Me, Shark Attack, Borders, Treasures & Text, Candid Cards; Midterm: Cute Cuts; Crochet Hearts: Scallop
“Today”, by Stephanie Smokovich.
In the Candid Cards die-cut package for the Molly collection, all the backsides are hearts patterns. I used three of those, plus the "#friends" card to create a square patterned center block on top of the green tone on tone word pattern. Printing photos at different sizes is one of my favorite things to do lately. On this layout I used a standard 4x6" and also two 3x3" pictures. I think it makes for more fun pages, different than the usual, and lends itself to different page layouts and arrangements.
Supplies:
Molly: Sparkle & Shine, Candid Cards, Borders, Treasures & Text, Miniatures; Crochet Hearts: Bell Pepper; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Frosting
