With the addition of our new specialty papers, Clear Cuts and Invisibles, we've challenged our designers to think beyond the scrapbook page and create projects of all kinds using different mediums.
Spring Decor, by Wendy Antenucci.
So I have fallen in love with my mason jars and gold spray paint, I am constantly spraying jars and putting pretty things in them; they make instant decor pieces. So today I decided to fill my jar with some pinwheels made of the confetti Clear Cuts. I chose a few springy colors and cut them into 4x4 squares to fit the jar I was using. A few chipboard icons helped further my spring decor theme. The Bella Bows are such pretty touches to add and the grass was crimped paper from the Simply Spring collection. Wow, I guess I had better get the rest of my spring decor items out as we finally made it through the winter.
***This is my last post for Bella Blvd, I have created with the amazing products for 2.5 years and it has been a joy. Good luck to the new team and thank you Stephanie and Laura for being the ones to open the doors to the scrapbook world for me!

Photo Wall Collage, by Katherine McElvain.
I used this altered project assignment as a motivator to finish a photo wall collage that I had started in my girls room. About two years ago (yes, two years ago and still not finished! Yikes, things happen slowly around here) my girls redid their room and changed it from softer pinks to bolder black, blues, and greens. I wanted to reuse some of the old wall decorations, so I needed to do some painting and recovering to make everything match the new color story of the room.
The girls helped me paint the frames. In some frames I put photos, but I decided to fill one with a little bouquet that I made with glossy accented flowers from the Color Chaos line. I liked how the flowers looked with the black outline from the paper bordering the bright colors.
We wanted the rest of the wall to be colorful with a variety of shapes so we painted the old pink letters black, and punched out hexagons from a variety of Bella Blvd papers, and Mod Podged them onto the letters to make a quilt like pattern.
I also filled in a small empty frame by directly pop dotting some words I had outlined and cut out from Lucky Starz, directly to the wall. Now two years later I can say the room is finished! Yay!
