Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with!
“West Virginia”, by Katherine McElvain.
A couple of years ago we took our son on a road trip which included a day of tree top zip lining. I had quite a few pictures of that portion of our trip, so I had in my mind to use a grid layout design to document the day. I cut the photos 2x2" and lined them up across a piece of white cardstock overlapping some of the ends. I filled in the empty spaces with 2x2 pieces of the Cloud Clear Transparency. I had to play around a little with the pieces and layered the Cloud Transparency over paper in some of the squares where I wanted the clouds to become more apparent than transparent. On the rest of the layout I layered bits and pieces from the Campout collection, and strips form the Star Student Borders in order to add more arrows in colors that highlighted the photos. At the beginning of this project I intended to only use the Campout collection for this project, but it is always so wonderful how some little accents from the other Bella collections can be mingled in so easily to add just what I was looking for.
Supplies:
Color Chaos: Scallop Strandz, Pepper Strandz; Star Student: Borders; Simply Spring: Clouds Clear Cuts; Campout: In The Woods, Daily Details, Chipboard Icons, Trinkets, Treasures & Text
“Atlanta”, by Katie Rose.
For this layout I cut the "Love" Invisible so I could use one column of loves and use the shape of the Invisible to point to my title. I backed the Invisible with white card stock to make it pop on the patterned paper. I used the coordinating enamel hearts and put them on the o's.
Supplies:
Color Chaos: Bell Pepper Strandz, Gulf Strandz, Daily Details, Treasure & Text, Trinkets; Invisibles: Love; Ciao Chipboard: Symbols; Enamel DooDads: Ice, Guacamole, Bell Pepper, Punch, McIntosh, Milk White
"Our Camp", by Leanne Allinson.
My family loves to go camping. And I love to capture all these special moments when we do. But when creating this layout, I wanted to focus on why we love to sit around the campfire rather than all the wonderful things we do while on a campout! The story is supported by the Daily Details campfire image and the word strips from the Campout Treasures & Text sticker sheet. I've also added in a fun strip of Under the Stars patterned paper and embraced the layers of fussy cut stars, to create a whimsical element on the page.
Supplies:
Campout: Daily Details, Under The Stars, Treasures & Text, Trinkets, Chipboard Icons; Color Chaos: Bell Pepper Strandz, Scallop Strandz, Blueberry Strandz; Lucky Starz: Scallop Starz; Hello Autumn: Treasures & Text; Ciao Chipboard: Whatnots; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Blueberry; Enamel DooDads: Blueberry; High Five Alpha Stickers: Brown-Cream
"Relaxing Place” card, by Ashley Marcu.
The chipboard camper is the perfect focal point to create a relaxing scene, fit to encourage someone to enjoy their vacation or to have a happy retirement. All the different element pull great textures together to make a fun card. I especially love the new Enamel DooDad stars that add a little bit of shine to the card.
Supplies:
Campout: Under the Stars, Campout Borders, Let's Go Camping, Chipboard Icons, Treasures & Texts; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Stripe, Grey Chevron; Enamel DooDads: Milk White
“Keep the Wild” card, by Diana Fisher.
Color Chaos adds some sass to the creatures from the Camp Out collection. I had a good time creating the little scene for this inspirational bear. Perfect card for a boy needing his spirits lifted or a boost of confidence.
Supplies:
Camp Out: Chipboard Icons; Color Chaos: Pepper Strandz, Just Write Journaling Stickers
“Family Fun” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
Our family loves to camp so I was absolutely thrilled to see the new Campout collection from Bella! We will actually be meeting up with some family and camping this coming summer and I wanted some cute cards to send out all of the details and info to them! For the background I chose the Gone Fishing paper and added several border strips (from the Borders paper). I embellished with the coordinating Ciao Chip Icons chipboard pieces, stickers, & some Milk White Enamel Dots.
Supplies:
Campout: Gone Fishing, Borders, Trinkets, Chipboard Icons; Enamel Dots: Milk White
These are great. I love zip lining too! So much fun.
