World Card Making Day 2014: Hour Twelve + A Giveaway

Welcome to our World Card Making Day celebration! Today is all about card making, sharing, and inspiration. There's just something special about giving and receiving a handmade card, whether for a holiday, special occasion, or "just because". We hope you'll hang out with us all day long, as we share new cards every hour for twelve hours straight.

Fall is my favorite time of year and the new Hello Autumn collection reminds me why that is! All of the warm, delicious colors and textures included in this collection make me smile! I really wanted to use this November layer (cut from the Daily Details sheet) but found it was too large for a traditional card size.  I decided to make my card bigger!  I embellished the card with a die cut leaf (I used the back side of the Autumn Floral sheet), a Ciao Chip piece, some coordinating stickers, and a couple of Bella Buttons!

“Thank U” card, by Christine Ousley.

I use a lot of thank you cards and this one is sure to put a smile on someone face. I just love the adorable little owl that I cut from the Daily Details patterned paper. The sticker letters on the Treasures and Text sticker sheet make the perfect sentiment. I love the fun and whimsical style of them. The perfect font to go with the cute little owl. This is definitely a card that you could make in about 5 minutes or less. I just cut out the patterned paper and layered a solid color underneath it. Then adhered all the pieces down and added the title.

“Grateful” card, by Jamie Harder.

I have so many people that I am grateful for and want to thank so I was immediately drawn to the “grateful” sentiment in the Hello Autumn collection. I used a few dimension stickers to make it, as well as a couple of stars, really stand out!
