Halloween Magic is one of our newest collections, and it's also what I asked our designers to do for me. I asked them to work some "Halloween magic" and create some amazing Halloween projects to share with you all this week. We have a varitey of projects to share, as we focus on the Halloween holiday every day this week!
"Happy Halloween", by Kay Rogers.
I love these old photos of Halloween. Now that Jenna is in middle school she's not interested in trick-or-treating. I went with a super simple, linear layout so the pics would shine. I love the color against the black patterned paper!
Supplies:
Halloween Magic: Boo Buddies, Hocus Pocus, Borders, Treasures & Text, Trinkets, Paper Pieces, Chipboard Icons
"Spooktacular", by Leanne Allinson.
Halloween Magic is such a fun collection! It's bright and cheerful and incredibly versatile! Why do I suggest this? Because, even though the tradition of Halloween is becoming more and more popular in Australia, my family is not that bothered. But what we do, is play dress up. Having three boys in the house, there is always going to be monster, pirate or zombie lurking in the dress up box, thanks to endless episodes of Scooby Doo! It was one such episode that inspired my five year old to grab some random bandages (and thankfully it wasn't toilet paper!) and wrap himself up as a "mummy"!! To emphasize the strips of bandages, I've layered my photos over strips of patterned paper and fussy cut two of the "mummy" images in different sizes. I love that the Halloween Magic collection was perfect to capture this memory.
Supplies:
Halloween Magic: Funny Bones, Boo Buddies, Borders, Ghosties, Treasures & Text; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White
“Little Boo” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
For this card I had an idea to make a sampler style front. I cut various strips from the Borders paper to different lengths. I added some stitching in between and then embellished at opposite ends of the strips for a fun and interesting feast for the eye! Such a cool way to show off all of those adorable Trinkets and Treasure & Text stickers.
Supplies:
Halloween Magic: Trinkets, Treasures & Text, Borders; Button Market: Pickle Squares
“Spooky Spider” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Clean and simple was my vision for elaborating on this vivid purple star with a really cute sentiment tucked into the center! I just added another star to the top with foam adhesive and then the sweet spider chipboard below the sentiment. A line of buttons was added with a small glue dot.
Supplies:
Halloween Magic: Treasures & Text, Daily Details, Boo Buddies, Chipboard Icons; Button Market: Purple Flowers, Text
Love love love these!! LOVING the colors in this collection!!!!!
