Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Fabric Style: Halloween Projects

Today we are switching things up, and instead of featuring projects using our paper collections, we are sharing projects created with our fabric collections! We are officially saying "good bye" to Tiffany Hood today, as she shares her last fabric project with us. We have enjoyed all of the fabulous projects she has created for us over the last two years and will miss having her on our team. At the same time, we are excited to announce that Jen Chesnick is changing things up a bit, and has moved over to join our fabric designers for the next few months!

I don't know about you, but I love a cutesy Halloween color scheme. Too Cute to Spook is an easy favorite and especially now that it’s a fabric! I used the Lazy Susan by Brownie Goose in the Tunic option to create my Daughters top. I was sure to showcase my favorite bit from the fabric in the center of the bodice. My daughter calls it her Witchy Witch top! I used the Sleepy Jean pattern by Brownie Goose to create coordinating pants.

Halloween Table Runner, by Tiffany Hood.

My absolute favorite fabric line from Bella Blvd is Too Cute to Spook. I was so excited to be able to pull it out and play with it again, as Halloween is my favorite holiday! This table runner uses the same fabrics I used for the Witch Dress last year, and I had tons of black elastic lace left over from the dress, so I added it to the runner. The elastic in the lace makes the center bunch a bit, which is a cute effect.

***I also have to say that I have absolutely loved the last two years as a fabric designer for Bella Blvd and I will miss this team so much. Thank you for the great experience!

Halloween Pillow, by Kathy Frye.

This little pillow features the Bella Blvd “Too Cute to Spook” cotton fabric. It was fun to fussy cut the little Halloween scenes and border them with all the black, purple and orange fabrics. I appliqued a ghost and stitched a spider web. Added a few buttons and some quilting to finish it. Also, this pillow goes great with the quilt I made for a previous blog post!

Halloween Tops, by Christine Ousley.

I just love cute Halloween clothes for girls. So much fun and especially when you can make a matching pair. I used Too Cute To Spook for these sweet little shirts. The black web material make the cutest little flutter sleeves. The Bella Blvd orange star buttons worked get as a fun accent. I loved that I could use the same fabric in two color ways to make matching shirts that still gave each a little something different. Have a happy Halloween everyone!
