Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Monday Morning Challenge: Use At Least 5 Colors of Scattered Sprinkles Patterned Paper

Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we asked our designers to use at least 5 colors of the Scattered Sprinkles patterned papers on their projects.

When Laura challenged us to use all the different colors in the new Scattered Sprinkles collection, I immediately knew I wanted to create a rainbow type background. I cut strips of paper 2" wide and adhered them to a piece of kraft cardstock, stitching around the edges. From there I printed my photos at about 3x5 and added them to the center of the layout. I had fun embellishing with chipboard, stickers and crochet hearts.

I absolutely love the Scattered Sprinkles collection so I was super excited about this week’s challenge! I thought it would be fun to use a variety of the colorful sprinkles papers to frame my layout. The mix of hearts were the perfect embellishment to let my sweet girl how much I love her!

I love Scattered Sprinkles paper and I love this challenge to use five of them on a card! I actually used all six! I decided to go with the sprinkles theme and create die cut circles place randomly around the card, along with a few wavy lines. The background looks as though I used the reverse side of the Oreo Sprinkles as an inset, but it’s vellum, which makes the black paper look gray. The finishing touch is a stamped sentiment from the Sand and Surf collection.

“Love You” card, by Kathy Martin.

For this card I used all the Scattered Sprinkles papers again. This time I cut 1” by 3 ¾” strips to create a colorful background for the Candid Cards Die Cut phrase. I love the way you can mix and match Bella collections as each of the Scattered Sprinkle paper colors match the letters in the phrase perfectly!
