Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with!
“Family Love”, by Wendy Antenucci.
Each year we do a family photo shoot. This year we decided to head to the beach and try our luck there. Needless to say, the sand was flying and little feet were wet, but we managed to capture us, today! When I saw the Family Forever collection I knew that it would be perfect to scrap these pictures and our love for one another. I started my layout with the “I love us” card and began playing with my layout. To get the other candid cards onto my page that I wanted to use, I chose a grid formation. Once I settled on a grid and which cards I wanted to use, I was able to begin to play with different embellishments that fit our family. My first choice was the quote Family is like music and cutting out enough people for our family. I wanted to really draw out the colors of red, yellow, and white which I did by using the crochet hearts, making these colors really pop on my page. A few stickers and the page was almost done. I needed a little more on my red card at the top as it was feeling unloved, but I couldn't fit another candid card in that spot, so instead I used the saying on the card to fill in the blank spot. Complete! Another year documented.
Supplies:
Family Forever: Language of Love, Treasures & Text, Borders, Paper Pieces, Candid Cards, Mom & Dad, Trinkets; Lucky Starz: Paper Pieces; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White; Crochet Hearts: McIntosh, White, Bell Pepper
“Picture Perfect”, by Kelly Holbrook.
I had fun mixing elements from 3 of the newest collections. I pulled from Molly, Family Forever, and Lucky Starz to match the colors from my girls' 11 year photos. Gray in the background paper to match the pavement, pink to match their shirts, turquoise to match the beam of the bridge, and green for the trees in the background. I also threw a little yellow in there, just because I like it :)
Supplies:
Molly: Selfie, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces; Family Forever: Family Rules, Treasures & Text; Lucky Starz: Treasures & Text; Button Market: Pickle Squares; Flags: Floral, Spring Flings & Easter Things; Designer Tape: Cotton Candy Chevron; High Five Alphas: Green, Piggy-Punch
“Dream Big” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
By alternating the ends of the paper strips that had been corner-rounded, it gave this card a totally different look. Stitching on buttons to the corner-rounded ends also gave it a carefree feel. I cut the multi-colored strip a bit wider than the other three strips and used it as the focal point for the die cut and stickers that were used.
Supplies:
Lucky Starz: Pickle Juice Starz, Carrot Starz, Ice Starz, Color Crazy Starz, Punch Starz, Treasures & Text; Max: Treasures & Text; Button Market: Hot Pink Flowers
“Hey Girl” card, by Shelly McDaniel.
I challenged myself to find a way to use the Molly Treasure & Text alphabet stickers on a card...an oval shape made the perfect backdrop for the letters! Before attaching, I glued on some ric rac to the back of the oval and then embellished the sides with a few hand-cut flowers.
Supplies:
Molly: Refuse to Sink, Sparkle & Shine, Treasures & Text, Trinkets
“Love You So Much” card, by Kathy Martin.
Now that I’ve been working with the newly released Bella Blvd collections for a few weeks, I’m finding that I really love mixing, matching and layering the Candid Cards, Die Cut shapes and the Treasures and Text stickers! All these cool and colorful accents make it a breeze to create dimensional cards!

“You and Me” card, by Kathy Martin.
My husband Dan and I are celebrating our 22 wedding anniversary this month so I thought the new Family Forever and Lucky Starz collections would be perfect for making my guy a card. A colorful combination of stars, circles, hearts and text went into my design, along with an adorable stick figure family. I think he’s going to love it!
