Welcome to Trending Thursday, where we pick something we are seeing trending within the scrapbooking industry and ask our designers to focus on that trend as they create their projects to share with you. This week we are focusing on brush script and/or handwritten words.
“Fierce”, by Nicole Nowosad.
I have been too afraid to let loose on the brush script trend using wet ink, so I used a cut file alphabet that I created for my Silhouette Cameo. I wanted to combine the brush script look with the linear design of the new Bella Blvd letter stickers to complete my title. I just love this photo of my daughter at dance class a few months ago, and thought it went perfect with this quote I found on Pinterest.
Nicole was awesome enough to create a FREE brush script cut file alphabet that she's sharing with all of us. You can download the free cut file RIGHT HERE, courtesy of Nicole Nowosad.

“Love You”, by Jodi Wilton.
I love the current trend of brush script but I have to say I wasn't brave enough to break out my brush and try it! I decided to search some cut files I had and i felt inspired by the love file and thought it would work perfect! I cut it several times in black and then layered it over several strips of the Lucky Starz Collection. I printed out my photos in black and white to really let the colors of this collection pop!

Lucky Starz: Peep Starz, Pickle Juice Starz, Bell Pepper Starz, Gulf Starz, McIntosh Starz, Surf n Turf Starz, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Molly: Paper Pieces, Treasures & Text; Max: Trinkets; Snapshots: Captions; Daily Chevies & Everyday Bits: Arrows Gulf, Arrows Pink; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Ice; Crochet Hearts: McIntosh, Punch, Bell Pepper, Gulf; Designer Tape: Chevron Combo Pack, Punch Chevron
“Thanks” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Pick a fun alphabet stencil and create your own card title! I traced the stencil letters onto cardstock, making sure that all of the letters were 'welded' in some fashion. Next, I hand-cut around the letters, leaving just a bit of a border so that it would stand out against the black die-cut star.
Supplies:
Trick or Treat: Captions; Lucky Starz: Ice Starz, Treasures & Text; Family Forever: Treasures & Text; Snapshots: Paper Pieces
“Lovely” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
I've always loved Stephanie's handwritten words, so I chose the 'lovely' sentiment from one of the patterned papers and trimmed it out. Next, I penned on some "hellos" to tie in with the feel of the larger sentiment.
Supplies:
Family Forever: Mom & Dad, Sunday Brunch; Molly: Sketch With Style, Trinkets; Lucky Starz: Peep Starz; Crochet Flowers: Dahlia
Wow wow wow!!!!! These are all GORGEOUS! LOVING that rainbow goodness on Jodi's lo ... and loving the title on Nicole's lo!!! And that "lovely" on Shellye's card is FABULOUS!!!!
Also loving the new bloggy header ... can't wait to see the new collections!!!!!

WOW! Thanks, Nicole, for the brush script file! I've been wanting to try this trend, but I'm not brave - or patient - enough with a paintbrush. These projects look great!
