Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we asked our designers to create a background using at least 25 punched or die cut shapes (or at least 12 for cards).
“Happy Together”, by Becki Adams.
I went a little crazy with my heart punch and my sewing machine to create this bold background. Bright bold colors are my favorite, so the Family Forever line was the perfect choice for this fun project.
Supplies:
Family Forever: Family Rules, Language of Love, Happy Home, Game Night, Sunday Brunch, Mom & Dad, Family Photo, Borders, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces, Candid Cards; Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice, Ice
“#instalove”, by Jennifer Chapin.
I was inspired by the large polka dot paper in the Lucky Starz line for this layout. I decided to punch coordinating color stars from plain cardstock and match them up with the patterned paper. I also added a few photos punched into circles as well as some of the Candid Cards and a few enamel dots. I love playing with color. Hope you are inspired by our punch-y projects today!
Supplies:
Lucky Starz: Oreo Starz, Treasures & Text, Candid Cards; Max: Treasures & Text, Trinkets
“Sweetheart” card, by Kathy Martin.
I love a crafty challenge because it gets me to think outside the box as I did this Sweetheart design. I choose heart punches to play with since Valentine’s Day right around the corner. With all these colorful Crochet Hearts and patterned papers, this is one bright and cheerful card, don’t you think? And so much texture!
Supplies:
Snapshots: Family Chaos, Hurry Up, Free Time, Rise & Shine, Borders, Daily Details; Play Date: Daily Details; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop; Crochet Hearts: McIntosh, Punch, Cotton Candy, Orange, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice, Gulf, Scallop, White
Triangles card, by Kathy Martin.
My favorite Side B paper from the Daily Chevies collection is this triangle pattern! Continuing on with more triangles, I made these pinwheel looking flowers using lots of colorful patterned papers from Snapshots and Play Date topped with a wood Boutique Buttons and jute.
Supplies:
Snapshots: Family Chaos, Hurry Up, Free Time, Rise & Shine, Borders, Daily Details; Play Date: Today is Beautiful, Daily Details; Daily Chevies: Chevy Bell Pepper; Button Market: Masculine Mix, Checkers
