Who doesn't love a good sketch? It helps to take the guesswork out of the page and/or card design, but still allows you to put your own spin on things just be turning the sketch or altering it here and there. A few times a month, we'll be bringing you a new sketch, and showing you a few takes on the sketch by our designers. Today, we have our third sketch for February. I asked one of our own talented designers, Diana Fisher, to create a sketch for us based off of a previously shared layout, by designer Nicole Nowosad.
Original Layout, by Nicole Nowosad.
“Silly”, by Becki Adams.
I love working with sketches. It's such a great creative starting point. I changed things up with this sketch by just using one photo instead of two. The Molly collection has such fun bright colors that worked perfectly with these silly photos of my kids.
Supplies:
Molly: Sketch with Style, Sparkle & Shine, Selfie, Peace, Unlimited Text, Borders, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces, Candid Cards; Crochet Hearts: Cotton Candy; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Ice
“Sweet Sisters”, by Jamie Harder.
I haven’t played with a sketch in a long time and I had so much fun with this one! I wanted to document the amazing relationship my daughters have. They truly are the best of friends! The Molly collection is so fun and so girly - I absolutely love all the die cuts! I mixed in a bit of Lucky Starz too. I know that Lucky Starz will definitely be my “go to” collection! It is perfect for everything!
Supplies:
Molly: Sketch with Style, Paper Pieces, Candid Cards, Treasures & Text; Lucky Starz: Peep Starz, Pickle Juice Starz; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Punch; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White; Crochet Hearts: Punch
“Laynie Bug”, by Allyson Meinholz.
I truly enjoyed working with this month’s sketch and with the NEW Family Forever Collection, which is one of my new favorites! The color combo went great with recent photos I took of Alayna - the hearts and navy dot couldn't have been more perfect. I used a few candid cards for my banners and added pop dots for dimension. I even did a bit of journaling on this layout which doesn't happen often enough.
Supplies:
Family Forever: Language Of Love, Borders, Treasures & Text, Trinkets, Candid Cards, Paper Pieces; Molly: Peace, Unlimited Text; Play Date: Catching Bugs, Tabs, Alphas+Bits; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop; Ciao Chips Elements: Stars & Hearts; Designer Tape: Navy Dot, Gulf Dot

All the layouts are pretty awesome and the sketch is totally great and it takes the guess work out which makes scrapbooking less stressful when on your own right. Can't wait to get started on this one! thanks
