Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with! Today, our designers were asked to focus their projects on holiday gift giving ideas.
Altered Printers Tray, byJen Chesnick.
Each year I create a handmade gift for each of my Mothers (3 total). I like to pick an item then alter it to each of their personalities. This way I am not coming up with an entirely new concept and I can knock them out fairly quickly. This year I chose printers trays! I used Christmas Countdown and a mix of other goodies to decorate the outside of the tray rather than the insides. I like the look and it gives it lots of dimension.
Supplies:
Play Date: Catching Bugs, Alpha+Bits; Daily Chevies: Chevy Pickle Juice; Christmas Countdown: Paper Pieces, Tabs, Captions; Feathers: McIntosh; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice; Button Market: Merlot Flowers, Red Flowers
Sweet Treat Holiday Gifts, by Jodi Wilton.
I always love to give away sweet treats to teachers and other family friends, so I decided to alter two different items - a cookie tin and a large glass jar. The designer tape works perfectly to wrap around both of them, and it took no time at all! After I embellished around the sides and on top of each sweet treat with stickers, and punched out hearts. Happy Holidays everyone!
Supplies:
Christmas Countdown: O Tannenbaum, Christmas, Christmas Cuties, Daily Details, Borders, Alpha+Bits, Tabs, Paper Pieces; Designer Tape: Red Dot, Pickle Juice Stripe Tape, Chevron Combo
Winter Sleigh and Card, by Diana Fisher.
With holiday giving in mind, why not make the delivery and presentation just as impressive as the gift. If you have jewelry or small trinkets in mind for a friend or family member, why not make a few small boxes decked out with bows to wrap them in. Finish it off by putting them in their own sleigh. A tall, thin card with a cluster of bright, layered holiday embellishments can be an eye-catching addition to a fun, festive gift. Add a decorative border punch to the bottom edge to finish it off.
