Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with!
“One Amazing Season”, by Katie Rose.
The triangle design and color scheme were inspired by a quilt I saw on Pinterest. I chose papers and embellishments from the Snapshots, Play Date and Daily Chevies collections in different shades of green, blue, and gray to fit the color scheme. I chose pictures of my son from his football season because I thought they went well with the color scheme and then ironically decided they looked better in black and white! I added stitching to give the layout some additional texture.
Supplies:
Daily Chevies: Chevy Bell Pepper, Chevy Pickle Juice, Chevy Gulf, Everyday Bookplates, Arrows Pickle Juice; Snapshots: Hurry Up, Free Time, Borders, Family Chaos, Captions, Alpha+Bits; Play Date: Chasing Rainbows, Tabs; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Blueberry; High Five Alpha Stickers: Green; All American: United We Stand
"Today's Top Ten List", by Leanne Allinson.
Although there is no mention of birds on my layout, the feathers were definitely the starting point of my page. My four year old son likes to wake up with the birds and now that summer is almost upon us in Australia, that wake-up call is approximately 5:30 am and getting earlier each day! I may not like the early mornings but I am loving how easily the new Bella Blvd collections can be mixed and matched together. The Snapshots Paper Pieces I have used on my layout also relate back to his early start to the day. The "star" - because he should still be sleeping (!) and the "Today's Top Ten" card because he usually has a list of things he wants to do each day. Finally I have added a few pops of gulf blue to an otherwise monochromatic color scheme just to highlight areas on my page.
Supplies:
Snapshots: My Point Of View, Paper Pieces; Daily Chevies: Chevy Pickle Juice, Chevy Carrot; Engaged at Last: Bachelor Party; Making The Team: Miniatures; Feathers: White, Oreo; Crochet Hearts: Scallop, Gulf; Sienna Chipboard Alpha: Pony; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White
“Hello You” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
There is just so much happiness stuffed into the Snapshots collection! Happy colors, happy icons and patterns. Who wouldn't just love getting a card with all of that goodness? That's why I reached for this collection when I needed a card for someone very dear to me, someone who needs a little pick me up. I combined several patterned papers with some stickers, Ciao Chip alphabet pieces, and a Crochet Heart to create this fun, whimsical card.
Supplies:
Snapshots: Daily Details, Family Chaos, My Point of View, Alpha+Bits, Tabs; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice; Crochet Hearts: Gulf; Button Market: Pink Flowers
“A Merry Treat”, by Laurie Schmidlin.
One thing that I love about the new Christmas Countdown collection is how easy it is to create quick and cute gifts! I started with a treat holder die cut and then decorated it with some patterned paper, a Paper Piece, and a Snowflake Button! This treat holder is the perfect size to slip a couple of Ghiradelli chocolates inside!
Supplies:
Christmas Countdown: Believe, City Sidewalks, Paper Pieces; Button Market: Snowflakes
“Thankful” card, by Morgan Bandkowski.
This is a super easy card you could make for the host of Thanksgiving. I took a kraft card and inked the sides, then layered strips of washi tape. Afterwards, I cut the tree out and inked the edges. Then using a Sharpie I wrote the word Thankful.
Supplies:
Thankful: Cute Cuts; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Chevron
GREAT projects today ladies!!! Totally inspired by them all!
