Who doesn't love a good sketch? It helps to take the guesswork out of the page design, but still allows you to put your own spin on things just be turning the sketch or altering it here and there. Twice a month, we'll be bringing you a new sketch, and showing you a few takes on the sketch by our designers. Today, we have our first sketch for November, courtesy of Becky Fleck.
“Explore”, by Patti Milazzo.
I loved this sketch! It inspired me to use these two photos of my kids at the park when they were small. Fall was the perfect time to explore and play a game of follow the leader through the pathways there and it was cute to see them have fun doing such a simple thing. I found the sketch easy to use and it gave me a great foundation to build in extra details like the pocket tag for my journaling.

“Us7”, by Wendy Antenucci.
Since moving to FL we no longer have the gorgeous leaves and crisp air that symbolizes fall. While I love it here, I really miss the fall. When I was reminiscing I found this picture from our family photo shoot last fall and couldn't wait to play with the leaves again! I started my layout with the Thankful card that I wanted to use and the orange and blue pieces from the Thankful collection. From this point the 7 card was another must once I chose my picture. I loved the stitching lines on the sketch which led me to create the trails for the leaves, and the lines for my journaling. I decided to tilt my block of patterned paper and photo to imitate my son and give a playful fall feel to the layout.

“Rachel”, by Nicole Nowosad.
I tried to go pretty simple and stick to the clean lines sketch. I increased the size of my photo instead of using two different photos. I also let the photo decide what colors to use on my page and decided to try a semi-monochromatic theme! I love the fun Button Market buttons and added a few to embellish my chipboard title and add flowers on the page.

"Sisters", by Allyson Meinholz.
I decided to use the Snapshots Collection, which is one of my new favorite collections. I love how versatile it is. These photos were recently taken by Stephanie during our fall family photo shoot. I did change my layout up a bit by rotating the sketch. I love how the pink feather and crocheted heart popped on the page, just like the pop of pink in our photos.
