We want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksiving today! We hope you are all enjoying a day spent with family and loved ones, eating lots of turkey, and reflecting on everything we have to be thankful for.

It's always been fun to browse thru Pinterest, looking at the endless ideas and inspirational images that are out there. Our designers always enjoy taking whatever image we provide them, and using it in whatever way inspires them the most as they work on their projects. It's amazing to see how many different ideas and designs can be inspired by just one image.

“Please Pass The Turkey” card, by Kathy Martin.

Oh how I adore banners and pennants and fall leaves so I couldn’t wait to create some cards for you inspired by this Pinterest photo! To give Bella Blvd’s handsome Thanksgiving turkey a playful background, I created a bunch of double sided pennant die cuts using the colorful papers of the Thankful collection. I love how these patterns look together…don’t they make this turkey look terrific?

“Fall” card, by Kathy Martin.

As I was working on this fall card the leaves on the trees in my own back yard are bursting with bright red, orange and yellow leaves! It’s quite spectacular as is this Pinterest photo! Together they helped me to dream up this card with layers of pennants decorated with a die cut leaf, a negative die cut leaf, a chipboard leaf and leaf prints. Here’s to fall leaves!

Fall is my favorite time of year so I was immediately drawn to the colors in this Pinterest image! The orange and brown leaves really stood out for me so I pulled out the Thankful collection which is PERFECT for my fall photos! To tie into the leaves on the banner, I brought in a couple chipboard trees and the die cut with the falling leaves as well.

I was immediately inspired to create an oversized banner for my layout, using some neutral papers. I chose some fun patterns from the Snapshots and Daily Chevies and then built my page around the banner! I was able to trim down a card from the Snapshots Captions paper into a banner shape and then used that to create similar sized banner pieces for the rest of the page. I stitched a few down with some twine, and added the same detail to the chipboard alphas!
