“Halloween Cutie”, by Becki Adams.
Cutting the Trick or Treat Borders paper into strips and cutting the ends into banner shapes makes for a fun but simple background. With only a few embellishments and a journaling card this layout is complete!
Supplies:
Trick or Treat: Pick a Punkin', Daily Deals, Alpha+Bits, Tabs, Paper Pieces,
Borders; Crochet Hearts: Orange
“Sweeter With You” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
I love to make pocket cards! There are so many different possible goodies to stuff into the pocket but I am really smitten with the new Daily Details (Project Life sized cards) right now! I decided to create a little tag using one of them (from the new Play Date collection) that the recipient could also use as a book mark. To create the pocket, I just stitched a piece of vellum over a piece of Play Date patterned paper, making sure to keep the top open. It's so easy to make, but adds a little more fun to a regular card!
Supplies:
Play Date: Catching Bugs, Daily Details, Alpha+Bits; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars
& Hearts; Button Market: Red Flowers
“This Is Awesome” card, by Laurie Schmidlin.
With my kids back in school now, I wanted to make some cards ahead time that would be perfect for celebrating all of the hard work they put into their school work! I started with a piece of Snapshots patterned paper and layered on some strips of coordinating papers (I used a punch to create a scallop edge before adhering them to the background). For the focal image, I chose one of the new Paper Pieces. I covered the edges with some chunky glitter and added some ribbon and a Crochet Heart for embellishments.
Supplies:
Snapshots: Pajama Day, My Point of View, Daily Details, Hurry Up, Paper
Pieces; Crochet Hearts: White Hearts; Button Market: Blues
“Favorite” card, by Sheri Feypel.
I started this card with Rise & Shine, the flowery print is so fun and versatile to play with. It actually makes a cute simple card all by itself, if you need a quick card. I didn't so I jazzed it up a bit! I added a few more patterns from the Snapshots line, cutting the Pajama Day B side to look fringed, what a fun additon! I think I may use this look quite a bit more. A few more samples of the patterns in this line topped off with a Bookplate Sticker. I also punched a few hearts and made stick pins, mostly just because they are fun! In case you didn't notice, this is a fun card! ***apparently my word of the day is fun!
Supplies:
Snapshots: Rise & Shine, Pajama Day, Free Time, Daily Details, Bookplates
“Merry Christmas” ornament card, by Sheri Feypel.
I have to admit this is somewhat of a scraplift. I saw this ornament made of circle punches somewhere and it has been stuck in my head. So, I used a large circle punch to create bulb of the ornament. I cut several patterns, trimmed some in half and layered them. I also added a scalloped cardstock border. I used a smaller circle punch for the hanger and punched a hole in it with my Cropadile. I have so many more ideas for this little ornament....stay tuned!
Supplies:
Christmas Countdown: City Sidewalks, Christmas, Believe, Borders, Alpha+Bits
