Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we asked our designers to incorporate circles into the design of their layouts and cards.
“My Life”, by Megan Klauer.
Circles often find their way into my designs and today’s layout was no exception. A combination of the paper pieces, stickers, and a couple of paper punches made adding the circles quick and easy. You'll also notice the photos flow in a circle around the centered pie chart creating yet another level to the circle design.
Supplies:
Daily Chevies: Chevy Pickle
Juice, Chevy Bell Pepper, Chevy Carrot; Snapshots: Daily Details, Alpha+Bits,
Tabs, Paper Pieces, Days Stickers, Captions, Bookplates
“Trick Or Treat”, by Becki Adams.
When I see the adorable big patterned polka dots on many of Bella Blvd's designs my immediate thought is fussy cutting. This huge line of dots draws your eye directly to the photos.
Supplies:
Trick or Treat: All Webbed Up, Happy
Owlween, Borders, Daily Details, Leaf Storm, Alpha+Bits, Tabs; Designer Tapes:
Orange Stripe
“December 25th” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
I love circles and dots, so this challenge was perfect for my collection of round embossing folders and punches! First, I embossed the base of the card with a large polka dot folder. Next, I took a 1/4" circle punch and punched several pieces from one of the sections of the Daily Details paper. I added them around the journal card with small foam squares. Other various-sized round embellishments were then added to complete the theme.
Supplies:
Christmas Countdown: Alpha+Bits, Daily Details, Captions; Button Market: Text
“Merry Christmas” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
Use a pretty round lace die as the base for your wreath on this card; punch out the center. 1/2" circles were punched from the O Tannenbaum paper and layered side-by-side onto the lace die cut with foam squares. Next I added another layer of the circles so that they were off-set with the circles below. Add pearls or rhinestones for a little added detail.
Supplies:
Christmas Countdown: O Tannenbaum, Paper Pieces; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle
McIntosh; Birthday Girl: Party Dress; Crochet Hearts: Gulf

Such great takes on the circle challenge! The layouts are awesome and Shellye's cards are amazing (as always). I had to read the description on the first card because at first glance I thought she had used fabric covered buttons! Such a cool look! :)
