Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with!
“One Person” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
This card first started out being simply yellow and black. Then I went into town and saw a lady wearing a black and yellow dress accessorized with a red pair of shoes and necklace. So, I came back and added the red flower button and strip of red/white polka dot designer tape to the bottom ... perfect! The sentiments found on the We Are Family Bookplates are fantastic for cardmakers. The sentiment on this card has always been a favorite of mine.
Supplies:
Snapshots: Borders, Daily Details, Paper Pieces; Daily Chevies: Chevy Pickle
Juice, We Are Family Bookplates; Button Market: Red Flowers; Designer Tape: Red
Dot; Crochet Hearts: White
“Boo Whoo” card, by Shellye McDaniel.
I couldn't pass up using a "boo whooo" sentiment to go along with these cute owls from the Trick or Trick Collection! Short three or four lettered words offer a great chance to use up those cool chipboard alphabet stickers too. I cut a strip of owls from the Borders paper and then added a row of similar borders below it using some Designer Tape and cardstock sticker.
Supplies:
Trick or Treat: Happy Owlween, Alpha+Bits, Captions; Daily Chevies: Pickle
Juice Arrows; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White; Sienna Chipboard Alpha: Pickle
Juice; Designer Tape: Polka Dot Combo 19mm; Button Market: Stars
“Fair”, by Kim Jeffress.
So I am officially in love with the Snapshots collection. I have decided it’s my most favorite ever collection from Bella Blvd! If you know me, my go to papers and embellishments are always fun, bright and colorful and Snapshots fits this criteria to a T. Just last week my family and I visited a Fair here in my home town of Brisbane. My boys had a ball on the rides and I wanted to document this fun day before I forgot it. I created my photo collage of my most favorite photos in an online photo editing site called Picmonkey, printed it off and then layered it over blocks of pattern paper from Snapshots. I wanted to add in the photo frame from the Paper Pieces pack but also add some fun shake-able elements inside it. I cut apart a plastic sleeve pocket (to just larger than the frame middle) and stitched up three sides. I didn't want all my sequins to fall to the bottom of the pocket so I used my clear glue to adhere some of the sequins to the inside back of the pocket. Once this was dry I added in some extra sequins which then fell to the bottom and then stitched up the top. To complete I then adhered the pocket to the back of the frame and then added foam tape to the back to add this to my page!

Alyssa and her friend discovered that the Build-a-Bear clothes fit the dogs perfectly and it quickly became a dress-up session. Poor Jack kept getting the short stick and ended up being dressed rather girly more than once.
