Welcome to Monday Morning Challenge, where we offer up a challenge, and share with you our designers take on that challenge. Today we are focusing on lettering. Whether it's a fun title or interesting journaling idea, we challenged our designers to focus on letting, using Bella's wide variety of alphabet stickers and chipboard alphabets as they created their layouts and cards.

I absolutely LOVE the High Five Alphabet Stickers! Not only are they the perfect choice for basic titles, but they’re so much fun to mix and match to create bold, dramatic titles, simple journaling statements, or to spell out your favorite quote. With so many colors, and such a variety of fonts in different sizes, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Hands up if you own a smart phone and a couple of apps? I do and my favorite ones are the apps that not only edit your photo but also add images and text to your photos. My favorite is "A beautiful Mess". It allows me to add fun doodles and words in a variety of fonts and colors. Before I upload my photos to places like Facebook and Instagram or send them to my computer to print off , I choose my favorite photos and add those little touches. That's how this layout started. I had these fun photos a few with text on them, a few with not and I wanted to create a layout using them. The photo are actually from two separate days my boys went to this same park. When I printed them I realized the new Playdate collection would be perfect! I combined the front and back of the Park Play pattern paper with the sky and swings at the park to create sort of a skyline. I then added my photos in a jumbled way to signify the fun of the park. I added in the white letters from the High Fives alphabet stickers to create a subtle heading for my layout as I wanted the fun photos to shine. I added in 2 QR codes of videos I took at the park of the kids playing. I have a QR reader on my iPhone which I can scan the code which then finds the video online and I can view it!

“Smile Big” card, by Kathy Martin.
I smile from ear-to-ear while crafting with the Snapshots collection! The adorable camera icons and awesome new Paper Pieces make this line a must have! For today’s focus on lettering I layered some Black-White High Five Alphabets over the Sienna Punch chipboard letters to create this colorful all occasion card. I think it would make a great birthday card!
Supplies:
Snapshots:
Borders, Paper Pieces; Daily Chevies: Gulf Arrows; Trick or Treat: Owlween;
Sienna Chipboard Alphabets: Punch; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White
“Halloween” card, by Kathy Martin.
Lettering inspiration can be found anywhere and everywhere! Recently, while perusing cut files on Silhouette, I saw a die for the word ‘Halloween’ where the letters were divided in a grid of three columns and three rows. Immediately I thought of using Bella Blvd’s Alpha+Bits font to recreate the look replacing the ‘o’ with this adorable pumpkin sticker. Eek! Isn’t this Trick or Treat line fun?!?!
Supplies:
Trick or
Treat: Owlween, Spooky Town, Pick A Punkin’, Alpha+Bits, Paper Pieces
