When we were choosing our 2012-2013 Design Team back in September, we had a few additional designers that we just weren't ready to pass up. So just like last year, we decided to invite these designers to join our team this year as On-Going Guest Designers. They will be sharing projects with us every other month, and we are excited to share their work with you.
“I Love You, The End”, by Jodi Wilton.
I have been waiting for the perfect Wedding Collection to go with my wedding photos, and yes it has been 10 years of waiting! This is a to-die for wedding collection, and am going to be using every last piece of it to complete my wedding album! For this layout, I wanted to mix the subtle colors with a hit of black. I also wanted to add a yellow flower, because sunflowers were the main flower on my wedding day. I decided to group the four crocheted hearts together to form a flower and then added the scalloped crochet heart in the middle for the perfect, fun, finishing touch.
Supplies:
Love and Marriage: Vows, May Eighteenth, Borders, Esther Fleming Floral, Turner Hall Ballroom, Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Wedding Day Miniatures
“Canada's Sweetie”, by Jodi Wilton.
I absolutely fell in love with this collection! The mixture of colors and patterns are perfect, and I knew that I wanted to highlight my 2 year old daughter, since her birthday is on Canada Day. The best thing about this collection is that even though it is geared toward Americans, it can be used for Canadians, everyday layouts and more!
Supplies:
All American: American Pride, Seeing Stars, United We Stand, Boom Boom Pow, Borders & Cute Cuts, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Chipboard Icons; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Saltwater; Flags: All American; Sienna Chipboard Alphabets: Blueberry; Designer Tape: Red Dot
“American Flag”, by Juliana Michaels.
When we bought this old house we knew we wanted to hang a flag on the front porch because of it's location on the main street in the historic district of town. We got our flag a few days before Memorial Day and we proudly displayed it throughout the summer months and especially during the parades and holidays!
Supplies:
All American: United We Stand, Seeing Stars, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chip Icons; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop; High Five Alpha Stickers: Blue
“Do Not Disturb”, by Juliana Michaels.
When I began to create this layout I decided that I wanted to step outside my comfort zone a little and try to use only scraps or small pieces of patterned paper. I tend to prefer larger pieces when creating my layouts. I cut the patterned papers into strips and then tore the tops and bottom edges off of them. I then layered them and adhered them to my background paper. I completed the layout by adding some Cardstock Stickers, Designer Tape, and a Crochet Heart.
Supplies:
Sand & Surf: Borders; Love and Marriage: Esther Fleming Floral, Cute Cuts, May Eighteenth, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Birthday Girl: Alpha+Bits Stickers; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Peep; Crochet Hearts: Bell Pepper; High Five Alpha Stickers: Brown-Cream; Designer Tape: Teal Stripe; Button Market: Hot Pink Flowers
