Layouts on Wednesdays

Are you ready for some more free-for-all layouts from our fabulous Layout Designers? I love seeing how they take themed collections and use them for everyday layouts, showing just how versitle our collections can be.

“Hey Chubby Baby”, by Jennifer Chapin.

This was my first time getting to work with the new Sand & Surf line and I love it so much! Since we have a shortage of beaches here in Iowa ;) I decided to make a layout about my baby boy and his chubbiness. I started with a white background and dropped some mist on it in colors that coordinate with the papers in this line. I tried to keep a bit of white space on the layout, which is a bit of a challenge for me. It just goes to show you that this line doesn't have to be for beach pictures!

“Nana’s House”, by Megan Klauer.

Here in the midwest the snow is flying and I'm dreaming of summer. If we can't fly to warmer weather, the next thing is scrapbooking about it right? I used the new Sand & Surf collection to take me there.

“Love Watching You”, by Diane Payne.

I love the versatility of the new collections. This layout featuring my daughter when she was a baby was created almost entirely from Love and Marriage and Engaged at Last. To add some extra details I did some tone-on-tone pink stitching with my sewing machine to the chevron patterned paper. For the hearts I wanted a bolder stitched looked so I did some embroidery stitching around those to make them stand out more.

“Happy Birthday To You”, by Malika Kelly.

I love to capture the look on my kids' faces on their birthdays as they are opening their gifts. This series of pictures was no exception. I felt that my pictures did a nice job of telling the story, so I did not include any journaling other than a date and a few words to indicate my son's age. I used High Five Alpha Stickers for my title and then covered them with Glossy Accents to help them stand out on my page, especially with my dark background.
